The School of Computer Science and Information Systems is planning to host a number of exciting events in the near future: several on the New York City campus, the other in Pleasantville. The first is a series of talks on the timely topic of Internet security, the second an Information Session focusing on the new M.S. in Software Design and Development program, and the third a FIRST Lego League Tournament.

Dr. Hal Berghel
 
Dr. Hal Berghel, an expert on Internet security and forensics and Distinguished ACM Lecturer, has been invited to deliver a series of talks to CSIS faculty, students, and alumni/ae. The student talk “Hacking 2003: Beyond Viruses and Trojan Horses” scheduled for Monday, November 3, is open to the entire Pace community.

First Lego League Tournament a First for Pace
 
Lego League Tournament
On Sunday, February 8, 2004, children ages 9-14 will assemble on the Pleasantville campus to participate in a FIRST Lego League Tournament. The tournament was founded by Dean Kamen, a well-known inventor, whose FIRST Organization teamed up with the Lego Company to create a competition for kids that will help them learn about science and technology in a fun and exciting way.
