Heorot
Heorot is the mead hall where Hrothgar's
thanes gather each evening and also where Grendel and his mother seek their
prize. Hrothgar and his men conduct their celebrations here all the time.
However, the thanes have been avoiding sleeping in the hall for twelve
years because Grendel, the monster, has been attacking them there, and it is
unsafe.
