The Host's Lady

The Lady is Gawain's hostess and Bercilak's wife. She is a beautiful woman
who visits Gawain in his bed-chamber, for three consecutive days to
tempt him with her body and wiles.

The Hag

Morgan Le Fey is disguised as a hag. She tests Sir Gawain and his noble character,
as well as other Knights of the Round Table by sending the Green Knight to challenge
them. She is at Bercilak's castle acting as his wife's servant and close attendant.

Viol

Entertainment is provided during Gawain's stay at Bercilak's castle to entertain him.
The man is playing the violin by the table where Gawain is having a meal.

Sir Gawain

Sir Gawain is a noble knight of the Round Table. He answers the Green Knight's
challenge and is seeking the Green Knight to honor that challenge. He is traveling in search
of the Green Knight when he finds himself being welcomed at Bercilak's castle.

Servants

The servants welcome the warrior on their knees and then
serve him with wine and a meal with fish dishes.

Noble Men, Women and Knights

The noble men, women, and knights join the famous Sir Gawain to
honor him, and hoping to learn from him the art of eloquence.

Bercilak

Bercilak is the lord of Hautdesert Castle. He is also the Green Knight who challenged
the Knights of the Round Table to a game. The game challenged a knight to strike the
Green Knight with his axe and, in a year and a day, he would receive a return blow.
