King Arthur


         The king in the picture could be King Arthur. Who is the figure at the heart of the Arthurian legends. He is said to be the son of Uther Pendragon and Ygraine of Cornwall. In early Latin chronicles he is presented as a military leader, the dux bellorum. In later romance he is presented as a king and emperor.

Sir Gawain


        This Person is most likely to be Sir Gawain. Who is said to be the nephew of Arthur. "His parents are Lot of Orkney and Morgause (though his mother is said to be Anna in Geoffrey of Monmouth). Upon the death of Lot, he becomes the head of the Orkney clan, which includes in many sources his brothers Aggravain, Gaheris, and Gareth, and his half-brother Mordred".

        Fish was the main food around Christmas time. When Sir Gawain was staying in the Castle of Bercilak de Hautdesert he was served fish prepared in many different ways.

Servant


During the time of the King Arthur servants would accommodate any festivities and celebrations. They would bring food and drinks, to the ladies and gentlemen of the court. Other servants would provide entertainment and related services. Servitude was very common and necessary occupation.
