Susan R.
Feather, Ph.D.
Susan is
Associate Professor in the Technology Systems Department in the School of
Computer Science and Information Systems.
She has been at Pace University since 1996, first as an adjunct, and in
1998 Susan became a member of the full-time faculty. She holds a Ph.D. from the Department of Administration,
Leadership, and Technology at New York University where she also earned an
M.A. She holds a second Master’s degree
from Saint Peter’s College and a baccalaureate (in French) from the State
University of New York at Potsdam. She
has 18 years’ teaching experience in higher education.
She is highly active in professional organizations, serving
as secretary on the Executive Board of the Organizational Systems Research
Organization and as national delegate of Delta Pi Epsilon (Alpha Chapter), an
honorary graduate society. Affiliations
also include Kappa Delta Pi.
Research interests include the study of adult learning
theory applied to the acquisition of computer skills and its impact on
self-efficacy and the impact of technology on collaborative learning, both in a
traditional environment and in distance learning mode. She has published and presented papers at
national and international conferences in these areas. She is currently team teaching an
asynchronous online course, which provides a rich area of study, to add to her
research agenda.
