Real Estate Update
1. The Southern New York Chapter of the
National Multiple Sclerosis Society held its Night
of Appreciation dinner at Abigail Kirsch’s
Tappan Hill Mansion in Tarrytown. 107.1 The Peak,
radio station WFAS and the Plumbing and Mechanical
Contractors Association were among the honorees.

2. Seniors (from left, front) Mary Merritt and

3. More than 35 employees of the Rollins Insurance
Agency, based in Tuckahoe, built six bicycles for
the Andrus Children’s Center in Yonkers from
kits as a team-building exercise at the firm’s
annual employees’ retreat. Pictured (from

4. New York state Lt. Gov. David A. Paterson (second

offi cials, social service executives and other
leaders at Temple Israel Center in White Plains
March 9. The event was designed to build relationships
with legislators and highlight key issues and concerns
of the federation’s network of care-providing
agencies.
5. New York state Assemblywoman Amy Paulin (D-Scarsdale)
is pictured visiting the Parent
Child Center, a free drop-in playspace group at
St. Gabriel’s School in New Rochelle, sponsored
by the Westchester Jewish Community Services.
6. The former Higham Press on Manville Road in Pleasantville
is pictured under demolition
in the site-preparation phase for the Jacob Burns
Film Center’s media and education center,
a 26,000-square-foot facility, designed by Mount
Kisco-based Kaeyer, Garment & Davidson Architects & Engineers
P.C., which will be built on the site and an adjacent
property on Grant Street. Construction is expected
to take nine months.
7. Mahopac National Bank recently donated funds
to nine Rotary organizations throughout
Westchester County for literacy programs. Pictured

Decorating in White Plains, after its $1 million makeover.

10. The recent gerontechonology demonstration at

11. Yorktown resident and Broadway star Craig Schulman

Sings for Jenna’s Dream, a program
created to provide funds for at-risk children to
attend summer theater arts programs and scholarships
to outstanding high school seniors who are planning
to attend college for the performing arts. Pictured
