DESCRIPTION
This course covers the most important issues and topics in the huge area of cryptography and computer security. A good balance between theory and practice is sought.
Topics include: Mathematics of Cryptography, Traditional Symmetric-Key Ciphers, Modern Symmetric-Key Ciphers, DES, AES, Asymmetric-Key Cryptography, RSA, Rabin, ElGamal and Elliptic Curve Cryptosystems, Message Integrity and Message Authentication, Cryptographic Hash Functions, Digital Signature, Entity Authentication, Key Management, Security at the Application Layer: PGP and S/MIME.

PREREQUISITES
Graduate Status.
