Student-Faculty Research Day provides students and faculty with the opportunity to present their research.

This year's conference is dedicated to the work of Claude Shannon on the Centenary of his birth.

1916-2001
Claude Elwood Shannon was an American mathematician whose work had many implications for computer science and telecommunications. He is famous for having founded information theory and is perhaps equally well known for founding both digital computer and digital circuit design theory. Shannon also contributed basic work on codebreaking and secure telecommunications during World War II. (Wikipedia)
