Papers

15 page paper on a relevant topic.  Topics must be agreed upon with instructor in advance by 3/22. You must also supply an outline by 4/5 for an in person discussion.  You will also do a presentation of the paper on 5/10 (45 minutes in length; all team members participate).

• Single spaced (point size 12); one single-spaced line between paragraphs. 
• Illustrations/Code Examples welcome if they in fact illustrate a point. 
• Citations/Footnotes (any ideas or quotes from sources not your own should be cited).  Citation/Footnote sources (including page number) should be in its own section at the end of your paper.  Use a numbering scheme in the body of your paper that then matches up to your Citation/Footnote page reference.
• Bibliography (all sources of information fully qualified).
• At least two credible sources other than the text book assigned for the class
• Citation/Footnote page and Bibliography page are not included in the 10 page requirement.

Paper must be submitted both in hardcopy and electronically (MS Word or PDF).   

Building Application

Scope of project must be agreed upon with instructor in advance (by 3/22).  Provide more detailed description and outline by 4/5 for in person discussion.

In addition to a working application, you will make all code, system documentation and instructions for setup, available on the class website by 5/10.  Examples of system documentation are Data Flow Diagrams, ER Diagrams and Use Cases.

You will also do a presentation of the application on 5/10 (45 minutes in length; all team members participate).

Note:  The instructor can also provide ideas for applications.
