Required Text:

Roger S. Pressman, Software Engineering: A Practitioner's Approach, 6th Edition, McGraw-Hill, 2005.

 

Note: There is a 7th edition of this text, but the 6th is sufficient. Amazon.com has links to other vendors through its marketplace that will sell either a hardcover version of the text or the softcover “International Edition” at significant discounts.

Student Requirements:
Students will be expected to design, implement and demonstrate, on time, a large software project. This includes requirements specifications, architectural and detailed design specifications, and test plan.

Students will work in groups of three or four and present the results of their work at prescribed class periods according to a life-cycle specified by the professor.

Exams and Final Grades:
There are no exams. Grades will be based on all software products produced and class presentations.
