NYC SPIN Call for Presentations

Overview

The New York City SPIN (Software Process Improvement Network) offers an annual schedule of events for its members (and guests). Our objective is to promote software development and process improvement through an active program of networking and presentations, as well as partnering with similar groups.
NYCPIN programs help practitioners advance the practice of software development, project management and process improvement. We are seeking proposals for the 2007-2008 schedule of events. Of particular interest this year are practice and experience reports. The following are some suggested topic areas, but we are open to other topics that you feel would be of interest to the SPIN membership.

You may submit a proposal for yourself or, if you have experts or consultants who are visiting or working with your organization, perhaps you might arrange for them to give a talk. We are also happy to hear from individuals who would like to participate in shared panel sessions on any of the above topics.

Schedule

NYCSPIN events typically are scheduled once a month from 5:30 – 7:30 PM. Check www.nycspin.org to confirm event dates and locations.

Proposal Guidelines

  1. Presentations typically last for 90 minutes, including time for questions and answers (usually 1 hour presentation and 30 minutes Q&A)
  2. Please submit a proposal containing the following information:
