Worksheet is filled out thoroughly and handed in on time. Student fully investigated three polygons and distinguished the most important characteristics. Student is competent and confident in searching the web. Worksheet is filled out and handed in on time. Student identified important and relevant properties of each polygon. Used the Internet as a resource efficiently. Worksheet may be incomplete; few characteristics stated.  The Student could have searched the web and extracted information more thoroughly.
Paragraph and Writing Skills

Well-developed, clear and concise thoughts, written from the polygon's point-of-view.  Interesting poster that includes strong real life connections. Correct and specific details about polygon are included. Student synthesized the info. he/she learned from the web in a competent manner.

 

Correct characteristics of polygon are included; paragraph was written from the polygon's perspective. Thoughts are clearly expressed using appropriate grammar skills. Student composed a paragraph based on the info. they found on the web.

 

Paragraph is choppy, grammar could use work. May have missed important  information about their polygon. Paragraph may not be written from the polygon's point of view.

 

Illustrations/Creativity

Figure is drawn correctly using AutoShapes feature. It is colorful, vivid and shows creativity.

 

Figure is drawn with a creative attempt, used the AutoShapes feature correctly.

 

Figure maybe slightly off, for example not a perfect square.  Could have been more creative.

 

Use of Class Time

 

Student was engaged and stayed on task. Poster was handed in on time and all requirements have been fulfilled extensively.

 

Student completed the assignment on time and most of the requirements are included.

 

Student may have failed to complete the task on time, or maybe missing important requirements.
