The task of the environmentalist will be to study the effect the power plant will have on the animals, plants and humans in the area and on a global scale.

Use these questions to guide your research, but do not limit yourself.

1. How does the waste water from the cooling system in the plant effect the marine life in the local water supply?
   Does this play a role in the food chain?
   Does it have global effects?
2. What would be the consequences of a radiation leak, locally and globally?
3. What would be the consequences of a nuclear meltdown, locally and globally?
4. Under normal operating conditions, are there any dangers related to nuclear radiation?
