As you approach the age of 18, what are you going be be able to do at 18 that you couldn't before? Most of you will say DRIVE, and that is true. Some of you will say VOTE and that is also true, but did you consider that once eligible to VOTE, you are now eligible to be selected for JURY DUTY? Yes, it is true.
Don't get apprehensive about this task. I want to get you comfortable with the jury selection process and the concept of Voir Diring of a potential Jury. Over the next 5-6 weeks, I want to simulate the jury selection process for 2 different cases; one criminal case and one civil. You will act as a prosecutor or a defendant on either a criminal case or a civil case If you are on a criminal case, you will then serve as a potential juror in the civil case and vice versa.
