  • Course Description:
    This course introduces both algebra and probability theory with emphasis of their applications to business and finance. Topics include solutions systems of linear equations, matrix algebra, finite probability, interpretations of probability, equally-likely outcomes, independent events, conditional probability, Bayes’ theorem, Frequency distributions, random variables, probability mass functions and cumulative distributions, binomial and normal distribution.

  • Prerequisite: MAT 103, 103A, 103C or Placement.
