Highlights at CCIMS
Listed below are selected highlights of my years with the Center
for Computing and Information Management Services at Teachers
College, Columbia University:
- Organized and administered the delivery of computing
services to meet the research and instructional needs of
students, faculty and staff. This included the
implementation and maintenance of software packages,
preparation of appropriate user-oriented documentation,
providing consulting services, and planning and delivering
of seminars and workshops.
- Was project manager of a major software effort involving
the conversion of the Statistical Package for the Social
Science (SPSS) from IBM to Burroughs hardware. SPSS
consists of over 100,000 FORTRAN and Assembler Language
source statements.
- Contributed significantly in the creation, development and
promotion of a new and originally conceived master's degree
program in Computing and Education for Teachers College.
This included the planning and teaching of courses covering
both computer-based instructional and administrative
applications.
