Introduction

The section of the website is devoted to a variety of photographs from various sources. Photos are presented in chronological order where the date is known. Due to the large number of photos that have come to light, the collection is organized into several sections so that downloads will take less time.

on January 2, 1949. This is possibly a promotional photo for a new line of trumpets.


Navarro frequently appeared in Philadelphia and often played with and mentored the young
Clifford Brown, who was from nearby Wilmington, Delaware. This photo is most likely from
February, 1950. Note the loosely fitting suit, a sure sign of his weight loss due to his illness.
