| Mock Dress Rehearsal -
All Repertoire |

The gala last night was a
smashing success on many levels! Thanks to all who
participated, gave or attended. All of your
efforts made it one of the most delightful events of the
season.

For those who couldn't attend, don't worry, it was thoroughly archived in video format and
will appear on the WOS website soon as well as public
access television.
Anthony Newman was wonderful, both his music and
personality, and I can't wait for our collaboration
later this month. Again, thanks to all for a great
fundraiser!

CDs of Shakespeare in the Spring are now available!
The
double CDs of the spring concert (Shakespeare) will be
available at tomorrow's rehearsal (November 3rd) for
$22.50 (checks or exact cash are encouraged).
We made the decision to include the Tavener Song for Athene
and increase the overall recording to double CD
rather than lose that lovely performance.
A few members have yet to pick up their CDs
of the fall concert (Faure) and we'd like to close out
those orders and the Shakespeare orders so that we'll be
ready for the up-coming concert recordings.

WOS to continue ambitious new video project
WOS will be filming in November at each rehearsal. These
clips, lasting only a few seconds each, will be included
in a 3-minute video that will show on the main page of
the website.

Intended to be an inclusive, inviting
display for prospective members, the video will showcase
the personalities that make up our fine ensemble.
Also included will be audio and video clips of the last
few seasons.
And don't be shy! Everybody looks great!

Michael Cole:
TICKETS NOW AVAILABLE FOR THE AGE OF IRON,
starring WOS Shakespeare specialist Steven Skybell!

William Shakespeare's masterful Troilus & Cressida is
joined with Thomas Heywood's rarely-seen Iron Age, to
create an epic retelling of the Trojan War. Together,
these two Elizabethan plays take us from the rape of
Helen to the sack of Troy, bringing Homer's long-lost
world vividly to life.
