Course Information

• Book: Artificial Intelligence: A Modern Approach by Russell and Norvig (third edition).
  
  
  
  
• Prerequisites: Programming ability in any high-level language (Java, C++, ...) and an interest in finding out what intelligence is and whether we have it.
  
  
  
• Grading: There will be two exams and several assignments.
  
  
  • Midterm Exam: The midterm exam counts for 25% of your grade.
    
    
  • Final Exam: The final exam is in the last class of the semester. This counts for 25% of your grade.
    
    
  • Programming Assignments: There are four programming assignments. This counts for 30% of your grade.
    
    
  • Written Assignments: There are three written homework assignments. This counts for 20% of your grade. Your first homework assignment is due tomorrow.
    
  
  
  
• Online Component: This course is partly online. There are videos on the syllabus page that are required viewing.
