Probability Theory
- Probability theory assigns a degree of belief between 0
and 1 in either being true or false.
- This summarizes the agent's uncertainty.
- Probabilities are usually statistically determined.
- This is not degree of truth, as in fuzzy logic.
- Prior probabilities reflect unconditional belief: P(Sentence).
- Posterior or conditional probabilities reflect belief
based on other beliefs or perceptions: P(Sentence|Percepts).
