Independent Study or Thesis

Students who would like to do independent study or thesis work are welcome to discuss their ideas with me. Some areas I am particularly interested in include:

• Any possible topic related to Systems Requirements Engineering
• Analysis of current approaches or problem areas in SRE
• Designing and developing novel techniques and tools to assist with "early" SRE
• "Smart" traceability and the visualisation of traces
• The role of requirements in agile approaches to software development
• The role of requirements in onshore/offshore development
• Software Engineering modeling languages and notations
• Injecting some fun and creativity into software development
• Case studies
