Your performance on this webquest will be weighted most heavily on the technological aspects of your marketing materials.  It's important to demonstrate your proficiency of PowerPoint by creating an attractive and

enticing marketing presentation that provides all the relative and important information about your chosen location.

Criteria   4   3   2     1

Makes use of font, color, themes, transitions, animation effects, etc, but occasionally these distract from the presentation content. Use of font, color, themes, transitions, animation effects, etc, often distracts from the presentation content.
Originality Product demonstrates a large amount of original thought and ideas.  It is very creative and inventive. Product demonstrates some thought. Slides and itinerary show new ideas and insights. Little evidence of original thinking.  Uses many of the same ideas of the links to websites listed on the resources page. Demonstrates that no original thinking went into design of marketing presentation and itinerary.
Content The content is written clearly and concisely with a unique main idea/purpose/theme. The selected location is covered in-depth (meeting all task criteria).  Subject knowledge is excellent and it "SELLS" the location. The purpose/theme/main idea is evident.  Subject knowledge appears to be good. Includes most factual information about the location but does an adequate job of "selling" the location. The theme/purpose/main idea is vague and does not create a strong sense of purpose.  Includes essential information about the location but there are 1-2 factual errors.  Presentation does a minimal job of "selling" the location. Lacking a clear purpose or central theme.  Content is minimal OR there are several factual errors.  And, information does nothing to "sell" the location.
Use of Graphics, Sound, and Animation All photos, graphics, sound, and animated gifs enhance the content and create interest in the presentation. Most of the photos, graphics, sound and animated gifs enhance the content and create interest in the presentation. A few of the photos, graphics, sound and animated gifs are inappropriate for the content of the presentation and do not create interest. The photos, graphics, sound and animate gifs are inappropriate for the content of the presentation and distract the viewer by creating a busy feeling.
Organization Content is well organized and is easy-to-read.  The point sizes varies appropriately for headings, bullets and text.  The use of bullets, italics, bold and indentations enhances readability. Uses headings and/or bullets to organize, but the overall organization of topics appears flawed and sometimes not easy-to-read. Occasionally the use of bullets, italics, bold and indentations detract and do not enhance readability. Content is partially well organized and is easy-to-read. Some slides are difficult to read due to the use of too many different fonts, overuse of bullets, italics or lack of appropriate indentations of text.   There is no clear or logical organization structure for presentation of information, just a lot of facts.  Many formatting tools are under or over-utilized and significantly decrease readability.
Sources Source information collected for all photos, facts and quotes.  All documented in desired format. Source information collected for all photos, facts and quotes.  Most documented in desired format. Source information collected for all photos, facts and quotes, but not documented in desired format. Very little to no source information was collected and documented.
Writing Mechanics The text has no errors in grammar, capitalization, punctuation and spelling. The text has a few errors in grammar, capitalization, punctuation and spelling requiring minor editing and revision. The text has 4 or more errors in grammar, capitalization, punctuation and spelling requiring editing and revision. The text has more than 6 errors in grammar, capitalization, punctuation and spelling. It is evident there was no proofing and editing performed.
Oral Presentation Interesting, well-rehearsed with smooth delivery that holds audience attention.  Proficient knowledge of location and presented facts is evident. Relatively interesting, rehearsed with a fairly smooth delivery that usually holds audience attention.  Good knowledge of location and presented facts is evident.
