Step
One: Choose
any U.S. destination - it could be an entire State or just one city.
Step
Two: Research the destination you
have chosen. The Resources page contains
links to numerous sites for factual, monetary and pictorial information.
Bookmark any sites you find that may
assist you with your marketing presentation.
Download images you plan to include
in your presentation.
You may also want to go to the
library and view travel magazines, other periodicals and encyclopedias
for information.
Step
Three:
Decide on the theme of your marketing presentation. Will you use one
of PowerPoint's themes, or create your own? Once you have decided on
your theme, start designing your presentation.
What information
will you present first?
How will you attract
their attention and wet their appetite?
Are the things you
are showing for the location "kid friendly"?
Would sound clips
make the information more attracting?
Step
Four: Create a week-long itinerary for your selected destination.
Ensure that the locations you recommend are those included in your
marketing presentation. You want to remain consistent throughout all
your marketing materials.
Did you include budgets for cost
conscience travels and those who are willing to pay more?
Does your suggested hotel have
recreational facilities that might entice your travelers?
Step
Five: Finalize all your materials and ensure all information is correctly and
accurately presented.
