Recent booming development of Web-based technologies and mobile applications has facilitated a dramatical growth of new techniques' implementations, such as cloud computing, big data, pervasive computing, Internet of Things, and social cyber-physical systems. Enabling a smart life has become a popular research topic with an urgent demand. Therefore, the International Conference on Smart Computing and Communication will focus on both smart computing and communications fields and aims to collect recent academic work to improve the research and practical applications.

The scope of SmartCom 2016 covers a broad extent, from smart data to smart communications, from smart cloud computing to smart security. The conference is gathering all high-quality research/industrial papers related to smart computing and communications and targets at proposing a reference guideline for further research. All accepted papers will be indexed by EI. SmartCom 2016 will be held at Shenzhen University in China and its conference proceedings publisher is Springer.

Welcome to SmartCom 2016 (Springer):

International Conference on Smart Computing and Communication (Springer) will be held at Shenzhen University this year. is a public university established in 1983 located in Nanshan district, Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. Shenzhen University is accredited by the State Council of the People's Republic of China and is funded by the Shenzhen Government. The university took its first enrollment the same year at what Deng Xiaoping called "Shenzhen Speed". The university faculty is noted for its high qualifications, multi-academic background and innovative spirit. It is comprised of 1,221 teachers and researchers; 253 professors, 568 associate professors, of which 464 have doctorate degrees. It has one academician in the Chinese Academy of Engineering, six academicians in both the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering and 44 supervisors of doctoral candidates. As well as an impressive teaching faculty, the university now boasts some of the brightest students, distinguished alumni which now form a global network. The on-campus student body is 20,000 strong and an additional 18,000 off-campus students are engaged in continuing education. There are 920 international students from over 40 countries sharing the SZU experience.
