One of the
Council's first initiatives
is to set up a mechanism to
facilitate communication about
the use of technology in the
Not-for-Profit community. We
are pleased to announce the
creation of a listserv for this
purpose. Membership will be
limited to area not-for-profits,
and agencies and groups (such
as Pace and the United Way)
which are supporting the efforts
of the Council.
For those not
familiar, a listserv is an
email discussion group. It
will enable the Council to
instantaneously share information
with all of the area not-for-profits
about training programs, technology
planning, grant opportunities,
low-cost purchasing of computer
hardware or software, or other
technology resource information.
It will also be a way for
you to share information with,
or ask questions of, the other
members of the Not-for-Profit
community. There is no charge
for membership in the list.
In order to
prevent SPAM (unwanted junk
email) and ensure that the
list is only used for its
intended purposes, enrollment
will be screened by a Council
volunteer. You can join the
list by sending an email to
dmottola at pace.edu.
In your email,
please note your name, title,
organization, phone number,
and the email address that
you want subscribed to the
list. You will receive notification
within two weeks of your enrollment
in the listserv, with instructions
on how you may unsubscribe
at any time. You can also fill out our contact form here.
Without
your interest, participation
and feedback this effort will
not succeed, so please sign
up! Also, feel free to share
this information with your
not-for-profit colleagues
in the area.
