Daily Schedule

Campers must log-on virtually at 9:00 a.m. and log-off at 3:30 p.m. each day.

Classes

The daily lessons include three main components. The first component, the Crypto Applied Skills Training (CAST) runs during the morning session. CAST teaches students the necessary skills required to complete the mission. The second component, Cooperative Learning Action Game (CLAG) utilizes games to explain cybersecurity concepts and principles while fostering cooperative learning among students. Multiple dynamic fun-filled team activities will take place reinforcing cybersecurity first principles and critical thinking skills.

Sarlo

The third component, CryptoBot Mission, entails student’s problem solving and thinking critically utilizing Javascript to instruct Sphero in the afternoon. In the lab, students are encouraged to apply what they have learned in the CAST and CLAG sessions and ask questions while exploring, thereby, they begin to define their expertise, interests, and identity as a learner. Classroom discussion strategies and problem-based learning methodologies will be used to deliver the curriculum. Classes are taught by instructors with experience in cybersecurity, Javascript and Sphero robotics. Topics include:

Snacks will be provided to all participants.


There are two breaks during the day: the first break is 10:30 a.m.—11:00 a.m. and the second break is 2:15 p.m.—2:30 p.m. Light snacks and beverages will be provided. If a student has any food allergy or food restriction, please note this on the application form. We do our best to meet all dietary needs and food restrictions.
